Spent the day doin' laundry at my parents' house -- AFTER THE SKIT AT JAPANESE SCHOOL. Apparently, that went well, as the audience laughed where they were supposed to, and I didn't forget my lines. And we, the angels, were in bedsheets. Go us? XD

Day was peaceful except for when my dad and brother insisted on watching a 9/11 show on the History channel. It was a show comprised of only perso-cam footage: phones, video cameras, digicams, that sort of thing. Personally, I found it distasteful and absolutely horrific. Who wants to watch more than a few minutes of that?! It showed all the people running, the buildings collapsing, the total darkness that the debris cloud caused if you were caught in it -- it was awful.

Now, I know this happened, and it was a real event, and we should never forget how terrible it was, but c'mon: I know the Nazis tortured people with medical experiments, but I don't watch an entire show that displays ALL the photographs Mengele EVER TOOK for like an HOUR, and I sure as hell don't watch any other hour-long programs that show me all the bodies in Rwanda and all the different poses they were found in, or all the people shot and skinned and murdered and tortured. Who wants to watch that?

My brother said I should be able to look at it, but why would I want to watch real people running in real terror for their lives? That's sick. We should know that these things happen, yes, but fuck, while I admire Roy Mustang for being able to live through Ishbal and come out a better man, I sure as hell don't wanna go to Iraq and watch my best friend get blown up and have his fucking arm hit me in the face.

I don't know... I guess, to me, there's a line between trying to understand what happened to people, and trying to re-live it? I don't want to KNOW what it's like when people are tortured. Call me crazy, but I really, really don't. And what would happen to the world if we DID all know what that was like? -shudder-

Pyro originally requested a story about Maes fucking a dead Roy, but I couldn't fathom that. I don't think there's any way on Earth that Hughes would EVER have sex with a dead body... but Roy is another story entirely. XD SO... in the mangaverse, here ya go:

Man, people really ARE just flooding the fandom with this. But what I don't get is why. Personally, when I read that chapter, it left me really, really disturbed. There was just too much bad shit going on, and I didn't have that sense of "Oh, man, this is awful, but WOO I wonder how they're gonna get out of it and I can't wait for next month!" Maes and I both just wanted to forget that we'd ever read it. It was messed up. It was not a pleasant feeling, at all.

For God's sake, we had to do Vocaloid dances to wash it from our minds. e.e; (I know that makes our wife happy. I PRACTICED THE POKEMON, WIFE.)

Anyhow, back to the fandom angle: so Roy's *SPOILER* now. Okay, sooo... and? I dunno about you guys, but when something similar happened in the first anime, there was lots of that sort of speculation, at least where I was. It's been explored alraedy. Although... maybe I'm unhappy with it 'cause 102 freaked me out so much? I'm usually way more tolerant... I think. XD

SO, it was a good chapter, if you can stomach it. Go read it. Otherwise, if you don't wanna read about bad stuff, just wait til next month. You can read both chapters at once. Maybe they'll balance each other out.

... and maybe Maes shouldn't leave me alone an entire Saturday. It makes me weird. >_>;;

Yes, because we're lame, we actually dressed up in costume for the local release of "Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box." (Yes, this was months ago.) We did NOT tell the Game Stop people we were coming. WARNINGS FOR THREE MINUTE VIDEO OF US GIGGLING AND BEING STOOPID.

SO. NANO IS OVER, AND I WON. HAHA.

By win, I mean I wrote 50K+ words. They were not good words, and they'll probably never see the light of day again, but I did make the deadline. We even had Monday off! WOO~ And while that sad little story is going to be locked away forever, I have to say, I was fond of the ending...

WOO. We are NaNo-ing like crazy! We're working hard on catching up to our wife, but it's tough. Last night, we had our own mini-write-in with my best friend. We brought our laptops, and Izumi brought her notebook. That's right, Izumi is effin' HARD. CORE. She writes out her entire story on paper first, then types it when she gets home. She does this EVERY TIME SHE WRITES.

I am totally impressed by her, especially since, until last night, her word count was above mine. XD

But we're working on that. After the write-in at Borders, Maes and I went to ANOTHER Border's. We stayed there until closing at 11pm, then went to the Del Taco next to CSULB. On Friday nights, its lobby is open until 2AM. HAHA. Totally awesome. We had breakfast burritos and Cherry Coke, and were good for another hour and a half.

Today, we're back on our writing tour. After four hours at Japanese school, we donned our Camp Nanowrimo shirts and headed out. Right now we're at Togo's, where there's delicious lunch and free WiFi. After this, we're probably going to Border's again, or a Yogurtland. We need dessert! But wherever it is, there's gotta be free netz, 'cause a music service is a MUST at times like this. XD

Just to let you all know, I won't be on the net much (anymore?). I don't like stupid, and there's too much of it floating around out here. You're all cool, of course, but then, you're like, 20 people in a sea of 5 gazillion. So yeah. Not angry, just... don't like TV, either, and when something gets even stupider than American television, it's time to take a break and walk away.

I'll pop in every once in a while, though, I'm sure.
