Went to Anime Expo, mostly, I suspect, because my wife's secret crush was there. It was lame, just like last year. The whole thing looked like a big airport again, with anime characters standing around waiting for their flights. BOORING. There's nowhere to GATHER, nowhere to run and play and chat and tease each other, and it's just... not a very good con for socializing.

... the show picked up. A little. ALTHOUGH IT TOOK AN ENDORSEMENT FROM MY WIFE TO MAKE ME WATCH IT. I didn't think it was all that great, show-wise, but it was way better than it had been back at ep 5 when I stopped watching.

And I dunnno, darling. I thought Hughes looked okay. -waggles hand- But I agree with everyone that the Ishbal stuff looks KEWL. Even if it's the EXACT SAME ISHBAL SHIT I'VE SEEN FOR THE PAST XX YEARS EVERY TIME I PICK UP VOL 15.

... maybe they should do an anime of K2's stuff. That'd be worth tuning in for. >D

WELL ANYHOW. I just took a shower, so I'm clean. ^_^ YAY~ And I shaved my legs and everything. And lotioned. But I didn't comb my hair. I got to talk to Havoc for awhile, too. Since it's been at least two months that she's been with her man, I sort of gave her permission to have sex with him. I mean, her birthday's comin' up in a few days and all.

REMEMBER THAT, KIDS. NO SEX UNTIL THREE MONTHS HAVE PASSED. If he sticks around THAT long, he's either serious or you're damn hot. >>

There's no secret about what I think of this series. But for those of us who are watching it ANYHOW, I just made a cool discovery: Funimation has placed this series on their website. It's a week behind, yes, but YOU CAN WATCH IT WITHOUT DOWNLOADING IT. I point this out because watching it in the smaller window on their site IS SO MUCH NICER. There's no breakup, no digital distortion, nothing. The episodes are beautifully clear.

So for those of you with slow dL speeds or crappy files, check it out. You might like it.

I saw them! At The Knitting Factory! For Hughes' birthday! (Which was Feb 23rd, but that's okay, that's when I bought the tickets, surprise~ <3 ) They were awesome. XD Very nice, and very funny. And their costumes were totally cool up close. I kept staring at the chick that dances. (The only reason I don't know her name, though I know everyone else's, is 'cause no-one SAID it, not the WHOLE SHOW. @_@ I dunno why, they just didn't.)

Oh, yeah, and my digital camera broke (and no, I don't have a camera phone or a normal camera), so I fell off the 365 wagon. SORRY 365. And I was actually doing okay, too... ._.

OMFG WATCHMEN. Wtc. Half that movie was AWESOME WTFERY, and the other half was "So-and-so does X while I play unfitting music!8DDD " Half cool, half so, so ghey.

Went to the midnight premiere, got home at 4:30 (the wife drove, she's such a sweetie~ ), got up again at 6am to go to work, came home and ate dinner and went right back out to see the Friday showing with my fam and my co-worker. SRIGHT, SAW THAT THREE HOUR MOVIE TWICE IN 24 HOURS.

So I think I'm qualified to rate it, and here I go:

The movie IS WAY TOO DAMN LONG. BUT IT HAD TO BE TO FIT EVERYTHING. But it shouldn't FEEL long. Batman didn't feel long. It felt AWESOME. Like I had grown into my seat, and wanted to live there. This movie... half cool, half WHEN CAN I GET UP I NEED TO PEE.

So... if you like Watchmen, go check it out. Worth a matinee, I think, long as you got some popcorn and an empty bladder. ^_^b

... oh yeah.

Went to the Riverside Dickens Festival, and it was pretty damn cool. XD All those weeks of dance classes paid off! And there was totally enough people to dance with our wife, which made me really happy. Maes and I were worried that me or Gracia-chan would have to sit out a lot. But we all danced lots, and it was really fun!

Then we went back the next day to the street fair part, and it rained on us. Wetly. But people thought our dresses were cool, and asked Gracia and Maes for advice on sewing them. ^_^b Then we went to Mimi's (still in costume, of course) and had dinner. Even the Mimi's people liked our outfits! XD

Today we had Shinnen Enkai at the Japanese Community Center, and that was way more fun than I thought it was gonna be. ^_^;;; Our skit went well, and we got to have potluck and watch a Bill Crowley do rakugo, or like, stand-up comedy while sitting. XDDD Totemo tanoshikatta~ Plus, we traded some sake Maes won for a 1lb gift certificate to See's Candy. WOO~!

All in all, a good weekend that seemed to last a month. ^_^;;

Lots of "firsts" this past couple of weeks.

- Izumi got her first house (no cut for this, 'cause I don't have any pictures XD;; )

- ( Hughes and I went to the first Los Angeles Edwardian Ball )

- ( Izumi and I ran our first race (5K) )

And Gracia, Maes and I are going to Fezziwig's Ball in Riverside for the first time on Saturday! Haha, I'm completely worn out -- I do have to work from 7am - 4pm every day -- but damn, I'm havin' fun. XD Gracia-chan, you can finish your dress, go go go~! 8O
